Last Years Christmas......this year is still to come but this time it will be in Florida.

Here we are in Heber Valley. Look at all that snow and beautiful mountains!

It had been a long time since we had gone sledding so it was so much fun. Nathan's brother in-law was so kind to bring his 4-wheeler and take all of us up each time. That was so great!

FUN! FUN!

I felt like I looked like the Michelin Man, but I didn't care, I was very warm and that is what mattered most to me.:)

Here we are nice and toasty inside with our dogs Buddy and Zoey.

Thank you to Nathan's mother for taking the picture for us.:)

Winter Wonder Land!

In 2007 for Christmas we drove to Utah to visit Nathan's family for holiday. We weren't sure how our dogs would react to snow. We thought for sure Buddy wouldn't like it because he definitely doesn't like to be outside when the grass is wet from rain. Come to find out Buddy loved being outside with the snow. Zoey on the other had did not care for it at all. The first time she was in the snow, her feet started sinking in it and she would just freeze where she was and wouldn't move. When we first got to Nathan's parents, we went inside and realized that Zoey didn't follow us in like all the other dogs. We found her still out side in the same spot we last saw her, poor thing, she was afraid to move. Nathan had to pick her up and bring her in. It was great to see everyone. Everytime we visit, whether it is Nathan's family or mine, it is always amazing how much all the nephews and neices have grown. The weather of course was freezing. One day when we went shopping at an outdoor outlet mall in Park City, it got down to negative 14 degrees........burrrrrrr! I am such a wimp when it comes to the cold - even here in Texas I think the winter is cold. This year we are going to Florida to see my family for the holidays. We won't be there Christmas Day but will be there for New Years. We unfortunately will have some family members missing. My oldest Sister-Deanna, her husband, and 2 boys are in Germany and can't make it. Then my brother Kevin is serving a mission in Africa, so we won't see him for 2 Christmases but we know he is in the right place.

I laughed when you said you looked like the Michelin man! LOL! I miss sledding! looking at all your pictures reminded me of when we all use to go sledding in AK. Remember the mile long sled hill we went to for a youth activity? And you and I were on this paper thin sled going over like a 100 bumps! it was SOOOO fun!

I'm glad to see that you updated your blog, but I could've swore that my name was Deanna, not Deann.
Poor little Zoey. lol I guess little dogs would be afraid of ground that sinks, it might swallow her whole.
Make sure you make some time to webcam with us while you're in Florida, better yet get your OWN webcam! Love you
